I just finished another set of trials with David Gold on the Aurelia polyps. The data looks really encouraging and I hope to be done soon. There is a trend that the polyps fire more nematocytes at lower light levels. The data needed to be log transformed to match the assumptions of normality; some animals fired in excess of 300 nematocytes!

Testing for the Aurelia is done!!! I did 20 trials for each treatment, got skewed data and did a log transformation. Data was still not normal, so I did a Mann Witney-U test. It was signifigant!!! Yay!!!! P-value is, like, 0.0212!!!! More on this later…
