Federico amplified the upstream region of the gene called hydropsin5 in Matt Harms' undergraduate thesis.
We chose this gene because it has an element similar to a Pax-6 binding domain, which could be involved in directing opsin expression (a hypothesis that is not tested, just suggested based on sequence similarity).
NEED MORE DETAILED NOTES ON SEQUENCE AND VECTOR LOCATION. SHOULD BE ADDED TO Glycerol Stocks.
