Adding a new permanent blast database

The directory for the formatted blast databases is: /home/galaxy/src/ncbi-blast-2.2.25+/bin/db

The path is added to the blastdb.loc file. There is a particular format, not just the path, but it is explained in comments in the .loc file.

There is a different file for protein and for nucleotide databases in the directory:

/home/galaxy/galaxy-dist/tool-data/

blastdb.loc blastdb_p.loc

As of March 7, 2012, set up are:

 all Non-redundant proteins in Genbank (nr)
 uniref90.
 Lottia gigantea genome: filtered gene predictions
 Pinctada fucata genome: predicted transcripts
