From Hulings 1967

No live ostracods were recovered from the sediment samples. In fact, articulated ostracods were very rare at all of the stations.

C. danaiana exhibited a wide geographic distribution in shallow water (22 to 60 m) in the area between Cape Hatteras and Jupiter Inlet. It was found at seven stations, including 5 (34 m), 10 (31 and 36 m), 14, 42 (60 and 66 m), 59, 70, and 77. Hulings (1966) reported this species from the Virginia coast. It has also been reported from the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean by several workers.
