1. Downloaded Metazoa genomes from [1] on Jan 31, 2013. There were 51 genomes. I downloaded the predicted cDNA from each genome using recursive wget on the ftp site, and the option --accept *.cdna.*
2. unzipped all sequences
3. combined into one database for blast
